SCARS OF PARADISE: New Song Posted Online
December 30, 2008Swedish heavy rock act SCARS OF PARADISE (formerly POWERTRIP) has released an edited version of their "Emptiness" video (see below) off the band's debut album, "Cold Black Lie" (Sleaszy Rider Records). The group has also posted a new demo track from the pre-production sessions for the new SCARS OF PARADISE album, tentatively due next year.
Commented SCARS OF PARADISE bassist Peter Uvén: "I am really satisfied with the ['Emptiness' clip]. The video is really good and the edit version is cool as well so we thought we should make it availiable to our fans. Since it has been a while since we released some new material, we figured it would be a cool thing to post a new song as well. It's not even sure that it will appear on the album, so it might the only time it's availiable to the general public!"
SCARS OF PARADISE will kick off 2009 with a gig at the mini-festival Moshfest in Piteå, Sweden on January 30.
"Cold Black Lie" was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2006, and it contains "an onslaught of 10 uncompromising hard-hitting songs," according to a press release. "With dark and passionate lyrics it's a voyage to the dark corners of the mind, intense, raw and deeply touching. Every note, tone and word delivers a real-life experience, sometimes disturbing but always with pride and honesty."
SCARS OF PARADISE is:
Viktoria Johansson - Vocals
Peter Uvén - Bass
Per Eriksson - Guitar
Erik Palmqvist - Drums
